Course Descriptions
This 3-day course is designed to teach a technician how to troubleshoot and service Vyntus™ ONE, Vyntus™ ONE PFT, Vyntus™ ONE DL and Vyntus™ BODY devices. It will broaden the biomedical technician’s capabilities to troubleshoot by teaching an understanding of practical technical theory as applied to the products and components found in Vyntus™ PFT systems. Emphasis will be placed on practical technical theory as applied to the system functionality to strengthen the technician's troubleshooting skills and the performance of the System Quality Certification procedure for Vyntus™ PFT systems.
This 3-day course is designed to teach a technician how to troubleshoot and service Vmax™ devices. It will broaden the biomedical technician’s capabilities to troubleshoot by teaching an understanding of practical technical theory as applied to the products and components found in Vmax™ PFT systems. Emphasis will be placed on practical technical theory as applied to the system functionality to strengthen the technician's troubleshooting skills and the performance of the Annual Performance Check procedure for Vmax™.
This 3-day course is designed to teach a technician how to troubleshoot and service MasterScreen devices. It will broaden the biomedical technician’s capabilities to troubleshoot by teaching an understanding of practical technical theory as applied to the products and components found in MasterScreen pulmonary function testing systems. Emphasis will be placed on practical technical theory as applied to the system functionality to strengthen the technician's troubleshooting skills and the performance of the System Quality Certification procedure for MasterScreen devices.
This 3-day course is designed to teach PFT operators how to perform quality diagnostic tests using the Vyntus™ ONE, Vyntus™ ONE PFT, Vyntus™ ONE DL, and/or Vyntus™ BODY Plethysmograph pulmonary function testing medical device and SentrySuite™ software. The learning experience will include both module-based pre-training work, and instructor-led hands-on learning. Emphasis will be placed on device understanding, measurement applications, American Thoracic Society (ATS) Technical Standards and clinical best practices, customization, and quality assurance.
This 3-day course is designed to teach novice CPET operators how to perform fundamental exercise testing using the Vyntus™ ONE and/or Vyntus™ CPX medical device and SentrySuite™ software. The learning experience will include both module-based pre-training work, and instructor-led hands-on learning. Emphasis will be placed on device understanding, breath-by-breath measurement application, testing guidelines according to the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), customization, and quality assurance.
This 3-day course is designed to teach PFT operators how to perform quality diagnostic tests using the Vmax™ pulmonary function testing medical device, including Vmax™ Encore Series systems 22, 229, and 62J/62W body plethysmographs. The learning experience will include instructor-led hands-on learning. Emphasis will be placed on device understanding, measurement applications, American Thoracic Society (ATS) Technical Standards and clinical best practices, customization, and quality assurance.
This 3-day course is designed to teach PFT operators how to perform quality diagnostic tests using a MasterScreen (MS) pulmonary function testing medical device, including the MS PFT, MS PFT Pro, MS Body Plethysmograph or MS Body/Diff RT Plethysmograph and SentrySuite™ software. The learning experience will include instructor-led hands-on learning. Emphasis will be placed on device understanding, measurement applications, American Thoracic Society (ATS) Technical Standards and clinical best practices, customization, and quality assurance.
This 3-day course is an advanced level SentrySuite™ training. Participants must be familiar with basic SentrySuite™ operations prior to attending this course. The participants will be trained to use the latest software version of SentrySuite™ with all measurement devices and its measurement applications. The focus of this training will be on SentrySuite™ measurement application settings and all components of Configuration and Tools (User Administration, Database Handling including Backup/Restore and Data Export/Import, Configuration including Global Settings and System Configuration, and Utilities including Report Designer/Predicted Values/Bronchial Challenge Generation). Upon completion of this course, the participant will have an in-depth understanding of the effect of measurement program settings on measurement results.
This 4-day advanced level course is designed to teach experienced PFT operators how to perform high quality diagnostic tests using Vyntus™ medical devices and SentrySuite™ software. Participants need to be familiar with basic SentrySuite™ operations and to have attended a PFT Fundamentals New Device Operator Training previously from Vyaire. The participants will be trained to use the latest software version of SentrySuite™ with all measurement devices and its measurement applications. They will gain an in-depth understanding of core pulmonary function tests including additional measurements capable with the Vyntus™ medical devices such as Bronchial Challenge Testing, Respiratory Muscle Forces Testing, Impulse Oscillometry, and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing. Lung physiology, ATS technical standards, and clinical best practices will be applied as a basis for the collection of high quality PFT training. Emphasis will be placed on quality assurance measures as outlined by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and how to incorporate a quality assurance program in the PFT lab setting. This training will focus heavily on device understanding, measurement applications, ATS clinical guidelines, customization, and quality control.
This 4-day advanced level course is designed to teach experienced CPET operators how to create, configure, perform, and review high quality CPET using Vyntus™ medical devices and SentrySuite™ software. Participants need to be familiar with basic SentrySuite™ operations and to have attended the CPET Fundamentals Training previously from Vyaire. The participants will be trained to use the latest software version of SentrySuite™ with all measurement devices and its measurement applications. They will gain an in-depth understanding of various types of CPET including additional measurements capable with the Vyntus™ medical devices such as resting energy expenditure (REE), exercise flow volume loops (EFVL), eucapnic voluntary hyperventilation (EVH), biological quality control (BioQC), and high/low FiO2 tests. Clinical best practices will be applied as a basis for the collection of high quality CPET. Emphasis will be placed on SentrySuite™ CPET specific settings configuration, administration of high quality CPET, post-test editing of the data including determination of ventilatory thresholds and physiological review. This training will focus heavily on exercise physiology understanding with the help of case studies, measurement applications, customization, and reporting of the data.
